Job Description
Summary: Lockheed Martin is a leading technology innovation company, and they are seeking a full-time Cybersecurity Engineer - Early Career to support the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program. In this role, you will implement cybersecurity on tactical products and systems, collaborate with various engineering teams, and assist with the development of Cyber Plans and Procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Implement Cybersecurity on tactical products and systems
- Partner with other systems engineering, software engineering, and product teams to facilitate the secure design of the systems throughout the system development lifecycles
- Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with planning, design, development, validation and verification of Cyber solutions across the lifecycle
- Serve as cyber representative to non-cyber teams supporting requirements understanding, collaborative engagement, and solution identification and implementation
- Assist with development of Cyber Plans and Procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM related field
- Possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II, or higher, certification (e.g., Security+, GSEC, etc.) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Understanding of Cybersecurity fundamentals
- Understanding of IT fundamentals
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong technical writing skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent team orientation
- Cybersecurity engineering experience with embedded systems development for DoD
- Vulnerability Analysis
- Experience cyber-hardening operating systems (STIGS or similar)
- Experience cyber-hardening network equipment such as switches, firewalls, routers (STIGS or similar)
