Dock Lead

Summary: Levin Furniture & Mattress is a family-owned company dedicated to caring for employees, customers, and the community. They are seeking a Full-Time Dock Lead responsible for unloading, loading, and staging merchandise, as well as assisting with customer pick-ups and maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities: - Performs the unloading, loading, wrapping, unwrapping, moving, lifting and staging of merchandise - Assists Design team with the receipt and placement of product as needed to replenish visual displays - Assists with customer pick-ups - Practices safe and secure material handling methods and distributes merchandise properly in accordance with product handling standards - Practices safe and secure loading methods to avoid damages - Responsible for generating the following documents and completing all related tasks on a daily basis: FSR, CYCL, IST incoming and outgoing, and all price tags on incoming merchandise - Reports errors found on documents to supervisor - Completes all documentation neatly and accurately - Maintains a safe and clean work environment - Other duties including but not limited to light housekeeping, grounds maintenance, and painting as assigned Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience - Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills - Basic reading and comprehension skills - Basic numerical reasoning skills - Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner - Proficient with basic computer skills - Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift cartons weighing 100+ lbs. repetitively Preferred Qualifications: - Previous housekeeping experience preferred - GERS or equivalent experience necessary Required Skills: Material handling, Document generation, Paperwork accuracy, GERS system Benefits: Increased Pay Rates - Earn more at Levin, Paid Training - A Blended Training Approach, Growth Opportunities – Levin’s loves to promote from within, Great Benefits – Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance, 401K and PTO, Generous Employee Discount, Friendly, Supportive Work Environment, Beautiful Showroom with Top Brands & Trends
