Assistant Banquet Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Banquet Manager to support our banquet operations, ensuring exceptional service and memorable events for our guests. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Banquet Manager in coordinating and overseeing all banquet events, ensuring smooth execution from setup to cleanup
- Supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and set-up crews, to maintain high standards of service
- Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand their needs and deliver customized event experiences
- Ensure all banquet areas are prepared and maintained according to hotel standards and safety regulations
- Monitor event timelines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during events
- Manage inventory and supplies for banquet functions, including food, beverages, and equipment
- Support staff training and development to uphold service excellence
- Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and maintaining event documentation
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in banquet, catering, or event management preferred
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards in food service
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or related degree is a plus
- Proficiency with event management or POS software preferred
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced hospitality environment
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move banquet equipment when needed
