Job Description
Summary: Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, is seeking a Field Support Representative (Construction Application Specialist) to join their team. This role involves assisting with the installation and maintenance of machine control systems on construction equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues, and requires significant travel to various job sites across the US.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of machine control systems on construction equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electric issues on machine control systems
- Assist with the 3D setup of a construction site utilizing the latest positioning technologies
- Provide support to team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
- Participate in on-site trainings and provide feedback on equipment performance
- Travel to various job sites as required (70% or more)
- Be trained on future machine control and site positioning technologies, such as lasers, GPS, Robotic Total Station, Reality Capture, and Photogrammetry
Required Qualifications:
- 2D and 3D Heavy Construction Machine Control experience as installer or operator
- A strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electric systems
- Heavy Equipment technician background
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive to self-learn and research information on new products or technologies
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness and ability to travel (70% or more)
- Must have the ability to work remotely and access to a reliable internet connection
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction job site or survey experience
