Variable IT Intern - Technical Support

Summary: The City of Lakewood is dedicated to upholding City values and is currently recruiting for an IT Intern position. The intern will gain hands-on experience in various IT functions including technical support, system administration, and network administration while assisting experienced IT professionals. Responsibilities: - Document IT procedures and processes - Participate in IT projects - Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software - Provide technical support by assisting end-users in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues - Respond to service desk tickets and provide timely resolutions to technical problems Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Student enrolled in a computer science, information technology, or related degree program - Valid driver's license and good driving record - Excellent interpersonal skills - Must be comfortable working with technical matters and staff on a continual basis - Customer service focus, self-motivated and ability to work independently and as a team member - Background check required Required Skills: Technical Support, Hardware Installation, Software Installation, Network Troubleshooting, Service Desk Ticketing, IT Documentation, Customer Service
