About the opportunity
The University of Sydney is seeking a highly motivated Digital Health Project Manager to support an exciting Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF)-funded project focused on improving child development and mental health services through digital innovation.
In this role, you will lead and coordinate a complex research program that collects and analyses digital data from children, families, clinicians, and health services. You will play a key role in the development and implementation of new software and digital solutions designed to enhance service delivery and outcomes. The role will also involve trialing these innovations within real-world service settings.
You will provide strategic leadership across research initiatives, ensure alignment with project objectives, and drive stakeholder engagement across communities, government, and service providers.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- manage and deliver large-scale research initiatives aligned with strategic goals
- work collaboratively with stakeholders including communities, government agencies, health services, and research partners
- foster a culture of research excellence and continuous improvement
- oversee data analytics, interpretation, and reporting to inform decision-making
- lead stakeholder engagement strategies and partnerships
- ensure efficient research administration, compliance, and publication processes
- manage reporting requirements and maintain data accuracy across university systems
- contribute to budgeting processes and monitor project expenditure
- oversee resource allocation across financial, personnel, and technology areas
- lead project delivery with clear direction and proactive problem-solving
- coordinate risk management and ensure workplace health and safety compliance
- support the development and translation of digital tools and assets into practice
About you
- demonstrated experience managing research projects in a research-intensive environment
- experience working with health services and/or implementing programs within healthcare settings
- extensive experience in software and/or application development projects
- strong data analysis and data visualisation skills
- proven experience in research administration, reporting, and dissemination
- experience managing staff performance and development
- analytical thinking and problem-solving
- strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
