Job Description
Summary: Ki Mobility is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist the finance department with day-to-day operations. This role will provide hands-on experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, and administrative support, requiring strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Use various software (Excel, accounting software) to assist with daily accounting tasks, including data entry and account reconciliations
- Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
- Prepare and maintain financial records, spreadsheets, and reports
- Assist the accounting team with organizing, filing, and improving financial records and file organization within various electronic file storage systems
- Assist with month-end closing activities
- Review financial data for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with drafting missing or aged policies, procedures (SOP’s), and work instructions for Finance and Sales Support
- Support the tax department as needed with processes and compliance
- Support audits and compliance activities as needed
- Perform administrative duties related to the accounting department
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and process improvements; such as: testing and implementing new systems and workflows, asset tagging inventory, etc
- Protect the Etac organization by keeping information confidential
- Ensure and follow safety requirements and standards
- Perform all duties in a manner that follows, demonstrates, and promotes Company values
- Report to work as scheduled, on time, and be able to work entire work schedule
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to display professionalism
- Basic understanding of financial data with the ability to analyze and problem solve
- Effective verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work with Senior Management
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Ability to perform all essential functions in an ethical manner
- Proficiency in using computer applications (Outlook, Excel, enterprise software)
- Ability to learn ERP financial software such as Sage or Infor M3
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to be adaptable and responsive to changing business needs
- Possess a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to observe and identify details
- Ability to work extended hours as scheduled, including weekends
- Frequent sitting, wrist manipulation, walking, and standing
- Frequent sedentary work with lifting and pushing up to 10 pounds
- Occasional light/medium work with lifting and pushing up to 25 pounds
- Manual dexterity to type and operate office equipment frequently
- Must be able to complete all physical requirements to perform essential functions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (emphasis in Excel and Outlook)
- Experience with accounting software is beneficial
- Previous internship or professional office experience a plus, but not required
