Job Description
Summary: KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. This position will support our Tinker AFB customers allowing systems such as the B-52, B-1, KC-135 and others to remain operational.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with both industry standards and internal company design guidelines
- Perform reverse engineering of obsolete airborne and ground-based systems to support system sustainment, upgrades, or replacement efforts
- Troubleshooting mechanical or electromechanical systems using root cause analysis methods
- Writing and reviewing technical documentation relating to users, systems, standards, processes, operations, products, and services
- Working in a lab space for fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or similar degree) from an ABET accredited school
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- SolidWorks experience
- Experience with ANSYS or other Finite Element Analysis software
- Experience with military standards and processes
- Skilled at written and oral communication
