Job Description
Summary: Jones Day is a global law firm with 40 offices in major centers of business and finance throughout the world. The Receptionist's primary duties include greeting clients, answering telephones, managing conference room schedules, and assisting with clerical tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Greet, welcome and announce clients/visitors to the Office
- Answer telephones (internal and external calls)
- Take and transmit messages to office personnel
- Assign visiting attorney offices and conference rooms through Event Management System
- Assist clients and other visitors with car service needs and special requests
- Prepare daily conference room and visitor office schedule
- Coordinate all conference room meetings and events along with other personnel, as appropriate
- Maintain and monitor monthly parking access including activating and deactivating devices and review parking invoices
- Prepare reports and assists with clerical and administrative tasks and projects as assigned
- Assist as backup mailroom support, as needed
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one – three years of experience in a Receptionist role, preferably within a law firm environment
- Strong customer service orientation
- Professional demeanor; exceptional telephone manner
- Excellent written and oral communication and time management skills
