Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for an Engineering Lead, Device Assembly and Packaging within the Global Engineering & Technology (GET) team in Beerse, Belgium.

The Beerse site is a pharmaceutical fill & finish plant within the Synthetics platform of IMSC. We ensure lifesaving medicines are produced and reach the patient safely and reliably. The GET organization operates cross-platform as one coordinated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance & Reliability and Execution Systems activities. For the local GET Engineering department we are recruiting for a Engineering Lead for the Device Assembly and secondary Packaging (DAP) area.

Responsibilities
Developing talent through coaching and mentoring
Provides leadership and direction for engineering and qualification resources and activities within the manufacturing site. In this function, you will lead a team of project engineers and qualification professionals.
Coordinate Project CAPEX portfolio, multiyear asset lifecycle plan within the DAP area.
Drive Engineering, Automation and Qualification standards at site implementation
Supporting development of business cases and strategic product sourcing cases, to ensure that the right projects are done to achieve business objectives.
Ensuring that the assigned projects are being done the right way, through standardized project management practices, ensuring a smooth handover to operational use.
Building up technology expertise for the area of GET assets by participating in product and technology knowledge networks, internal & external benchmarking.
Support E&HS/Quality actions and behavior
Ensure the Engineering Team has the required size, skills, training, and ongoing development in technical, managerial, and business areas
Being available for the team, which means, onsite presence is a must, while limited homework is possible in line with the business needs.
Education, Personality and skills
An engineering degree is required, preferably Master level or equivalent in experience.
Ability to naturally lead and empower a team, strong communication skills across different levels of our organization.
An individual who feels that safety and quality is of paramount importance.
The motivation to learn in this field of expertise is fundamental. Technical knowledge of Device assembly and secondary Packaging as well as regulatory requirements and industry guidelines, specific to the pharmaceutical industry, is a plus.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:
€79,800.00 - €137,770.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
