Job Description
Summary: JOE & THE JUICE is a people centric food and beverage company that is currently recruiting for a Development & Construction Assistant to support their US Construction Team. This role involves assisting with various administrative tasks related to the construction of new stores, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with filing and obtaining of construction related permits
- Researching requirements and applying for utility service contracts
- Supporting the Construction and Procurement Managers with various daily tasks and coordination as needed
- Assisting the Project Coordinator with updating development trackers, construction timelines etc
- Coordinating with landlords and property managers
- Managing and updating landlord rules and regulations catalogue
- Acting as landlord liaison for development team
- Organizing inquiries from different stakeholders and relaying them to the appropriate person on the team
- Preparing municipality applications for new sites
- Facilitating new store warranty process
- Working with Accounts Payable Team and vendors on invoicing questions
- Attending meetings as needed, taking and distributing meeting notes to attendees
- Assisting in maintaining contact sheets
- Assisting with scheduling meetings and compiling notes
- Confidently communicating with all stakeholders internally and externally (landlords, architects, vendors, building department etc.) via email, phone, MS Teams and other software tools
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of administrative experience required
- Relevant experience in construction, architecture, procurement, purchasing, logistics, or administrative coordination is a plus
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Experience using project management / database software (e.g. MS Project, ProCore) a plus
- Ability to manage and track multiple projects and timelines simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and professional communication, both written and verbal
- Positive “can-do” attitude and high energy
