Job Summary:
A senior preparer position responsible for delivering comprehensive fund accounting services for complex portfolios. This role handles a full spectrum of complexity levels (low, medium, and high) with minimal supervision, focusing on sophisticated accounting processes and detailed client deliverables. The position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to lead preparation of complex financial reports while maintaining high quality standards.
What you will do:
Lead the preparation of complex financial statements, NAV calculations, and comprehensive reports with accuracy and timeliness, applying accounting standards and policies with minimal supervision
Process capital calls, distributions, and investor notices while performing bookkeeping for complex transactions and preparing periodic financial reports for sophisticated clients
Document detailed procedures for complex accounting processes and identify operational risks, escalating concerns to management as needed
Conduct self-reviews to maintain quality standards and contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency
Participate in training programs, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and team development activities while building expertise in client-specific requirements and industry practices
qualifications
Educational Background:
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or possess ACCA Level 2 or ACA qualification.
Professional Experience:
You bring at least 4 years of professional experience in fund accounting or a related financial services environment.
Skills and Key Behaviours:
You demonstrate advanced expertise in preparing complex financial statements with proficiency in applying accounting standards and policies with minimal supervision, combined with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail in delivering accurate, timely work across varying complexity levels.
You are a proactive, results-driven professional with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities, excellent communication and documentation skills, demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams, and a commitment to continuous learning of client-specific requirements and industry best practices.
