Assistant Project Manager - QA/QC - Data Center

Summary: Interstates is a company specializing in Electrical Construction, Engineering, Instrumentation, and Automation. The QA/QC Assistant Project Manager will work closely with field crews and project leadership to maintain quality standards and ensure successful project delivery while supporting project management responsibilities. Responsibilities: - Assist the Project Manager and jobsite leadership with project management and leadership responsibilities - Support project quality initiatives through QA/QC processes and documentation - Run project control systems for the benefit of the project team - Assist with CPM schedule creation, updates, and communication - Coordinate Last Planner / whiteboard crew scheduling - Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project communications - Act as a project analyst by reviewing project controls and assisting leadership in problem-solving and alternative solutions - Provide estimating take-offs and assist with analysis and change orders - Attend onsite client meetings and collaborate with trade contractors - Prepare information for and participate in monthly project reviews - Assist with procurement and expediting of materials and subcontractors - Promote Interstates’ safety culture daily Required Qualifications: - Ability to track and organize project tasks while prioritizing work effectively - Willingness to continuously adjust project systems to help plan and deliver successful projects - Strong team-building and communication skills (verbal and written) - Comfortable communicating with clients, peers, and leadership - Bachelor's or Associate's degree in one of the following (or similar): Construction Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering Technology, Construction Management Required Skills: QA/QC processes, CPM scheduling, Project controls, Estimating, Procurement, Team-building, Project management Benefits: 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Match, Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance (Short & Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and more), Company Discount Perk Program with national brands, Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay, Flexible scheduling supporting work-life balance, Bonus Incentives (year-end incentives and merit increases), Per Diem / Travel Pay or FAVR Program (as applicable), Family-focused safety culture – a team that cares about you as a whole person, Company-sponsored holiday events, team celebrations, and community outreach, Advancement opportunities aligned with your long-term career goals
