Job Description
The IBM Storage Defender Support team delivers technical assistance for enterprise level environments using our data protection and cyber resiliency suite of products. This position involves working with IBM customers remotely to provide how-to assistance and diagnose product failures. Team members will engage with cross-functional teams in IBM and with OEM partners to drive problem resolution. Candidates must have knowledge of operating systems (AIX, Linux, Windows), SAN, network protocols, clouds, and storage devices. Provide remote troubleshooting and analysis assistance for usage and configuration questions Review diagnostic information to assist in isolation of a problem cause Identify known defects and fixes to resolve problems Develop best practice articles and support utilities to improve support quality and productivity Respond to escalated customer calls, complaints, and queries Flexible schedule to ensure 24x7 support operations and weekend on-call coverage model to meet Follow-the-Sun goals Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written Experience with operating systems (AIX, Linux, Windows), SAN, network protocols, clouds and storage devices In-depth experience with Cohesity DataProtect Experience with data protection applications (eg: Storage Protect, Cohesity, Commvault, Veritas, Rubrik, etc.) Experience troubleshooting network, OS, or SaaS based application/software issues. Working knowledge of programming languages (C++, Python, Go, Java, etc.) Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Containerization technology.
