As a Customer Success Engineering professional in Automation Platform - Asset Lifecycle Management, you will drive operational and financial value through asset lifecycle solutions. This role involves supporting asset lifecycle solutions, which may encompass collaboration and solution delivery to achieve desired outcomes. Your primary responsibilities will include: Asset Lifecycle Support: Supporting asset lifecycle solutions to drive operational and financial value, with a focus on delivering solutions that meet client needs. Solution Delivery: Leading the delivery of asset lifecycle management solutions, ensuring they meet the required standards and drive value for clients. Operational Value: Driving operational value through the implementation of asset lifecycle management solutions, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness. The IBM Automation Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) Customer Success Engineer (CSE) role is a technical, pre-sales, client-facing role supporting customers in the US Industry Market The CSE provides prospects, customers, IBM business partners and IBM’s sales team with in-depth domain, product, solutions and/or technical product expertise covering the IBM Automation ALM pillar. This pillar includes solutions such as Maximo Application Suite, Envizi and TRIRIGA. You apply your business insights, build and maintain client relationships, incorporate hardware, software and services into client-valued solutions and ensure client readiness for the implementation of technical solutions. This is an opportunity to shape the future for both IBM and its clients. The CSE engages in pre/post sales activity of the sales cycle including sales/business discussions, solution discovery, solution and business assessments, solution demonstrations, pilots and Proof of Concepts. They understand the client's business requirements, technical requirements and competitive landscape as it pertains to the IBM Automation ALM pillar. This role requires a consultative, solutions-focused approach that requires in-depth needs analysis (discovery), art of the possible demonstrations, customized presentations and demonstrations, and delivery of written documentation and other material to support the sales team and sales opportunities. When engaged for a specific opportunity or project, the CSE role is responsible for the technical accuracy of the proposed solution. As this solution pillar is large and comprised of many different individual solution components, when applicable, the CSE will also pull in other resources such as solution focused SMEs, Partners, etc. to help drive a successful technical solution review with our clients. • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with IBM Automation ALM solutions or comparable technologies. • Demonstrated ability to understand client challenges and develop effective strategies that support client success. • Strong customer‑facing skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. • Experience collaborating with sales teams, subject‑matter experts, and business partners to support deal closures. • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and related opportunities at the same time. • Skilled in evaluating and resolving both business and technical issues. • Experience prioritizing tasks and negotiating project requirements effectively. • Strong expertise in Maximo Visual Inspection, Scheduler, Manage, Monitor, Mobile, Health, and Renewables. • Working knowledge of IBM Envizi and/or TRIRIGA. • Basic experience with Sterling OMS. • Hands‑on deployment experience is a strong differentiator. • Background in ALM within the retail industry is highly desirable.
