Role Overview: The MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) Analyst supports the reliability, performance, and continuous operation of MES computer systems within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for monitoring system health, responding to production and maintenance issues, and maintaining hardware and software across the plant floor and control room. The Analyst works collaboratively with internal teams to diagnose and resolve issues, supports system installations and upgrades, and ensures minimal disruption to production through timely troubleshooting and escalation when necessary. The position requires flexibility, including overtime and holiday support, to meet operational demands. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and respond to MES system issues, including handling phone and radio communications from production and maintenance teams.
- Perform routine system checks and complete periodic maintenance checklists to ensure optimal system performance and uptime.
- Diagnose, repair, reconfigure, and replace hardware components such as computers, scanners, and printers across the facility.
- Collaborate with MES team members and escalate complex issues when required to ensure timely resolution and minimal production impact.
- Support installation, maintenance, and modification of MES systems, including network cabling, equipment setup, and system upgrades, while working across both control room and plant floor environments.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 2+ years of IT experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills across computer hardware and software
- Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and web browsers
- Experience building, imaging, or installing Windows on computers
- Ability to think analytically and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and colleagues
- Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts (morning, afternoon, graveyard)
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ certification
- Prior experience in a help desk or technical support role
- Exposure to phone-based customer support environments
- Familiarity with standard IT ticketing systems or support workflows
Availability
- Work Schedule: Scheduled hours may vary and are determined based on business and operational requirements within a three‑shift operation.
- Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts (morning, afternoon, graveyard)
Physical Requirements This position may involve routine movement throughout the facility and hands‑on interaction with IT equipment in order to support users and perform installations. Reasonable accommodations may be made in accordance with applicable law.
