Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Learning & Development Intern.
Are you passionate about learning, personal growth, and helping others develop their potential? As a Learning & Development (L&D) Intern, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to the design, coordination, and evaluation of learning programs that support employee development and organizational success.
Working closely with the Global L&D team, you will be exposed to the full spectrum of learning initiatives—from training operations and content development to program execution, data analysis, and continuous improvement. You will also have opportunities to contribute ideas, test creative approaches, and participate in pilot initiatives, while developing insights into how learning and capability development support business performance.
This internship is ideal for students or fresh graduates interested in human resources, learning design, talent development, or organizational psychology.
This a position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
As a Learning & Development Intern, you will:
1. Learning Operations
- Support training logistics, including session scheduling, participant registration, and venue or virtual setup
- Prepare training materials such as slides, handouts, workbooks, and feedback forms
- Coordinate with trainers, facilitators, and internal stakeholders
- Maintain training calendars, documentation, and program trackers
- Assist with vendor coordination and invoice tracking where applicable
2. Program Execution & Facilitation Support
- Assist in in-person and virtual training sessions
- Support learner engagement activities and workshop flow
3. Learning Design & Content Development
- Assist in creating and updating learning materials such as slides, participant guides, job aids, and learning resources
- Conduct basic research on learning topics, tools, and best practices
4. Learning Data, Analytics & Visualization
- Support collection and consolidation of learning data (attendance, feedback, assessment results)
- Assist in analyzing learning effectiveness data
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and visual summaries using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or PowerPoint
- Support continuous improvement by translating data insights into practical recommendations
5. L&D Events & Learning Campaigns
- Support the planning and execution of L&D events
- Assist with event logistics including setup, participant coordination, and materials preparation
- Coordinate with speakers, facilitators, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Support event communications, reminders, and post-event follow-ups
6. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as reasonably assigned within the scope of Learning & Development and Human Resources.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Business/ Management, Organizational Development or related fields
Proficient in English (spoken and written)
Proficiency in Mandarin is required due to communication and coordination with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
Strong organizational and coordination skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Design of visual and presentation aids (e.g., Canva, presentation tools)
Basic data handling, analysis, or visualization skills
Experience in using Gen AI tools is an advantage
