Intern - Continuous Improvement (CI)

Summary: Howmet Aerospace is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. They are seeking a Continuous Improvement Intern for their Fullerton, CA location, where the intern will engage in hands-on training and impactful projects to assist the company while developing professionally. Responsibilities: - Coordinate and administer continuous improvement efforts in the Eddie Nut Manufacturing Cell - Use the VSM to implement a more visual factory - Organization and 5S workspaces Required Qualifications: - Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree or graduate degree program in an engineering discipline by the start of employment - Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) - Must be proficient working in a Microsoft systems environment - Excel is required - Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States - Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire - Visa sponsorship is not available for this position - Able to work full time, onsite for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2026 - Able to provide own transportation for position at Fullerton, CA - Relocation assistance not provided Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, or any related field - Prior Internship work experience - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Excellent analytical skills Required Skills: Continuous Improvement, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S workplace organization, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, Analytical skills
