Overview Registered Nurse – ER (Emergency Department) in Massena, NY. This travel assignment begins on 06/15/2026 and spans multiple weeks with a pay range of $2,013–$2,160 per week. The assignment uses a 11a–11p (12-hour) shift and involves a combined adult/pediatric ED in a critical access hospital setting. The unit handles roughly 40 patients per day with 9 rooms and 10 beds. Orientation is 48 hours. This role requires prior travel experience and does not accept first-time travelers; local candidates living within 75 miles are not eligible.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the ED for neonates through geriatrics, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and symptom management
- Initiate and manage IV therapy, vasopressor infusions, and blood product administration as indicated
- Maintain airway management and ventilatory support; provide procedural sedation as appropriate
- Perform timely documentation in the EPIC charting system; utilize SBAR for handoffs and interdisciplinary communication
- Collaborate with Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary teams to coordinate care
- Adhere to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines; ensure patient and family education and safety
Requirements
- NY RN license in hand to submit
- Minimum 2 years ER/ED experience
- Travel experience required; unit does not accept first-time travelers
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; TNCC preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Interdisciplinary collaboration experience; ability to float to other ED areas as needed
- Locals not accepted: candidate must reside >75 miles from the facility
