Responsibilities

• Provide radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation, using appropriate patient positioning and equipment.
• Perform diagnostic medical radiography within the department and other areas as assigned; apply principles of radiation protection to patients and staff.
• Maintain patient records and files, ensuring accuracy and privacy.
• Participate in the department’s quality assurance program and support ongoing performance improvement.
• Transfer patients to and from radiology and assist with patient care as needed; rotate shifts as required.
• Follow policies and procedures established by the department and organization; pursue continuing education as required.
• Be able to work effectively under stress, handle emergencies, and be willing to take call and report to work within 20 minutes.
• Provide care that is appropriate to the age of the patient served and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of a CT/XR training program
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography
• ARRT CT and XR certifications
• Minimum 1 year of radiology experience
• Ability to perform radiologic procedures in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment
• Must be able to take call and report to work within 20 minutes when required
• Eligibility to work in the United States and to travel as a temporary assignment
