Responsibilities

• Provide PTA services under the supervision of a licensed PT, implementing established treatment plans.
• Deliver patient care including therapeutic exercise, range of motion, strengthening, gait training, and functional mobility interventions.
• Monitor patient progress, document therapy notes, and adjust treatments under supervision per plan of care.
• Assist with patient and family education regarding care plans, safety, and home exercise programs.
• Maintain equipment, practice infection control, and participate in interdisciplinary care conferences.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience in a clinical setting; skilled nursing facility or geriatric rehab experience preferred
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting and manage a patient caseload
• Willingness to travel for a 14-week assignment and meet travel requirements
