Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in inpatient and outpatient settings; develop and adjust therapeutic OT plans.
• Plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic OT program as prescribed by the ordering physician; regularly update the treatment plan and home exercise program.
• Independently manage a full caseload; determine timing of re-evaluations based on insurance authorization and clinical need.
• Document patient progress and plans in the EMR system (Net Health Therapy and Meditech); communicate with the rehab team and patient/family.
• Be available to work Hawaii state and federal holidays as necessary to support hospital operations; arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements.

Requirements

• Hawaii state Occupational Therapist license required by start of assignment
• BLS certification from American Red Cross
• Minimum 2 years of work experience with adults in both outpatient and acute care settings
• Proficiency in EMR systems Net Health Therapy and Meditech
• Ability to work days, Mon–Fri (7:30 am–4:00 pm) in a hospital/acute rehab environment
