Change Manager (12- month Max term)
Location: Sydney CBD
The Change Manager enables successful delivery of change initiatives by helping people prepare for, adopt, and embed new ways of working across processes, systems, and technology. Partnering with project teams and leaders, the role assesses impacts, drives change and communication plans, and supports training to improve readiness, adoption, and minimise disruption
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver change plans for projects and business initiatives using a structured change management approach.
Complete change impact assessments and identify the people, process, system and behavioural impacts of change.
Assess business readiness and recommend actions to support successful implementation.
Develop and maintain change artefacts such as stakeholder assessments, impact assessments, readiness plans, communication plans and implementation support materials.
Identify change risks and issues, and support mitigation actions to reduce disruption and improve adoption.
Build effective working relationships with project teams, business leaders, people leaders and key stakeholders.
Support leaders and business representatives to communicate change clearly and consistently to impacted teams.
Identify stakeholder concerns and resistance points and work with the business to address them constructively.
Develop or coordinate communication and engagement activities that support awareness, understanding and readiness for change.
Work with training, knowledge management and subject matter experts to support learning needs and implementation materials.
Perform work in a manner that complies with relevant regulatory standards including Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation.
Essential Skills
Experience applying change management principles, methodologies and tools across project or business change initiatives.
Experience supporting change activities such as stakeholder engagement, impact assessment, readiness assessment, communications and training support.
Demonstrated ability to develop clear, practical and actionable change plans and artefacts.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across a range of audiences.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
Strong planning, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to identify and manage change risks and issues and escalate where appropriate.
Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, business stakeholders and support functions.
Sound judgement, adaptability and the ability to work effectively in changing environments.
Experience working within project delivery environments and partnering with project managers and business representatives.
Desirable
Experience working for a health insurer or similar
Familiarity with project lifecycle and agile working
Change management certification, such as PROSCI, or equivalent.
