Hawley Troxell is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support a team of litigation attorneys in our Idaho Falls office. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, tech-savvy professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.
Candidates should have prior exposure to a legal or professional office setting and bring strong attention to detail, along with the ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism and efficiency.
Key Skills & Qualifications
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize a high-volume workload
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of professionalism when interacting with attorneys, clients, and third parties
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of state and federal e-filing systems and procedures
• Experience with electronic document management and file-sharing systems
• Understanding of the litigation process and the role of a legal assistant
• Familiarity with timekeeping, billing, and general administrative support processes
• Ability and willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new technology
Responsibilities
• Prepare and submit conflict checks and open new client matters
• Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties at attorney direction
• Manage and organize case files
• Calendar and track court deadlines and litigation milestones
• Assist attorneys with time entry and billing support
• Prepare attorney reimbursements and office expense reports
• Provide general administrative and office support as needed
