Student Intern

Summary: Hartford HealthCare is Connecticut’s most comprehensive healthcare network, and they are inviting you to become part of their team. The Student Intern will be involved in the Information Technology Services Internship Program, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to critical initiatives that support the technology needs of the healthcare system. Responsibilities: - Be a contributing member of an early career professional cohort that will transform scholastic learnings to hands on experiences under the direction and guidance of an assigned manager and mentor - Increase your technical and professional acumen by working independently and/or on a team to deliver critical initiatives and projects that support the technology needs of our continually improving healthcare system - Support systems, networks, software in Infrastructure & Networks - Support transition to and use of cloud resources in Cloud - Support telephone, Voice over IP in Telephony - Protect networks from unauthorized access in Cybersecurity - Assist internal users with technical issues in Service - Engage in the integration of medical devices (MRI, IV pumps, etc.) in Clinical & Bio Medical - Provide Business Analyst support to clinical/non-clinical applications in Applications - Support the Google healthcare data engine integration in Data Analytics - Engage in design thinking, human centered design, mobile apps development in Digital - Utilize PMI and Agile methodologies in support of technical projects in Project Management Required Qualifications: - High School Diploma - Currently enrolled in an accredited post High School program - Full time availability (Monday-Friday, ~40 hours) - Ability to work onsite (Farmington, CT | free parking or other HHC locations) - Legally authorized to work in the United States - Vaccinated (Flu) Preferred Qualifications: - Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Database Management or other technology related field - Previous relevant Technology internship or industry experience - Strong interpersonal & communication skills (verbal/written) - Proficient computer skills - Integrity - Adaptable/flexible - Critical thinking/Technical curiosity - Learning agility - Self-Motivated/Self Starter - Acts with sense of urgency - Able to work independently and as part of a team Required Skills: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Database Management, Technology internship experience, Proficient computer skills, Learning agility, Sense of urgency Benefits: Competitive benefits program designed to ensure work/life balance
