Job Description
Summary: Gulfstream Aerospace is a proud division of General Dynamics, offering an internship program for collegiate associates to gain real-world experience in the aerospace industry. Interns will work alongside skilled professionals on engineering projects, contributing to both technical challenges and educational opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to engineering staff and contribute by completing discrete engineering tasks on schedule
- Using company procedures, apply engineering knowledge to resolve aircraft related issues
- Support component and full-scale aircraft prototype and test activities during the lifecycle of Gulfstream products
- Generate and analyze miscellaneous technical test data
- Interface with various internal organizations such as Production Engineering, Completions Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, Product Support and Procurement as well as external suppliers
- Develop knowledge of application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in assigned field of expertise
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must Be Currently Enrolled In An Accredited University Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree Or Higher In One Of The Following Disciplines: Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering (Manufacturing), Industrial & Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering
- Enrolled as a full-time student at time of application, actively pursuing a bachelor's degree or above
- Complete their freshman year by the time the internship starts
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (without rounding); must be listed on resume
- Minimum 12-14 week requirement (summer); 14-16 week requirement (spring and fall)
- Must be onsite; this is not a remote position
- Must have reliable transportation
