Location: Singapore - Jurong
Help us get ahead of disease together with our Planning & Logistics Internship, 2027:
Education required: Undergraduate studying a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, open to all disciplines including Engineering, Industrial System, Business Administration, Arts & Social Science (Economics)
Other requirements: Must be enrolled at a SG university for the duration of your internship and doing a full-time credit-bearing internship
Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English
Internship period: January to December 2027

What will you do?
The Materials and Business Effectiveness project is about materials (including engineering spares) management and the corresponding performance management visual to measure achievements.
Driving productivity initiatives for Logistics and Warehouse Operations. Key highlights are:
Improving Automation control, digitalisation and smart monitoring for new processes (AGV, Push, Mover Maker Push model)
Cycle time improvement for new processes
Productivity improvement through process optimisation
Support in new Warehouse Compartmentalization commissioning and qualification
Support and drive GSK Production System maturity
Capacity planning for storage facilities and improvements to outbound product process
To develop a means to map out current and forecasted utilization and availability of onsite storage facilities based on the production plan
Understand and utilize the site production plan to generate a corresponding warehouse space utilization plan
Streamline and simplify the processing of products that are moving out of the site
Data Automation: Streamlining data extraction and analysis using Python and VBA to improve efficiency and accuracy
Dashboard Development: Designing and building interactive dashboards in Power BI to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency, including dashboards for warehouse capacity and solvent tank level monitoring
Task Automation: Utilizing VBA and Python to automate repetitive tasks and processes, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors
Data Visualization and Analysis: Leveraging tools like Power BI to visualize data trends and insights, supporting strategic planning
Continuous Improvement: Contributing to initiatives aimed at reducing costs and ensuring campaign readiness by optimizing processes and workflows
Improving Delivery Performance of Suppliers and campaign Readiness of Raw Materials
Visualize delivery performance of suppliers providing goods to GSK
Building a robust system to manage GSK contracts with suppliers
Visualize campaign readiness based on availability of raw materials
Building a robust process to monitor and review stocking levels of raw materials to support campaigns
What will you learn?
Opportunity to experience working in a pharmaceutical warehouse and supply network operations
Work closely with the Logistics Supervisor & technicians for a better understanding of the Supply Chain, ranging from Planning, Logistics and Warehousing processes and operations. to maximise the Warehouse capacity and increase process efficiency through the use of data analytics
Work closely with personnel from diverse departments, fostering a holistic approach to project execution and learning; by engaging with professionals from various disciplines, interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of the interconnected nature of operations within the organization.
What are we looking for?
Good planning and organizational skills
Independent workers who are responsive and resourceful
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge in Power BI, Power BI, Phyton Programming and Data Analytics is a plus
A passion and desire to learn new things. curious and like to self explore with minimum guidance
Comfortable working with shopfloor people
