Manufacturing Engineer I/II

As a Manufacturing Engineer I/II, you will optimize factory costs and quality through the development and implementation of improved manufacturing processes and equipment. Responsibilities: - Coordinate and implement basic training initiatives to support manufacturing - Specify and justify basic capital expenditures - Purchase and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations - Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment - Recognize and recommend design and process changes to improve manufacturability - Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, cell layout and machinery efficiency - Provide summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning - Participate in Lean and safety initiatives - Manage basic individual projects in accordance with predetermined completion dates - Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction - Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies - Coordinate and implement moderate complexity training initiatives to support manufacturing - Identify, specify, and justify moderate complexity capital expenditures - Investigate, purchase, and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment - Recognize, recommend and validate design and process changes to improve manufacturability. Implement changes with product design engineering - Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, department layout and machinery efficiency - Analyze and make recommendations using summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning - Lead and support safety, 5S, and Lean initiatives. Expected to complete internal Lean Leader certification - Will provide mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or may have direct reports - Manage moderately complex team projects involving individuals from various departments to ensure integration between manufacturing, sales, finance, marketing and product engineering - Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction - Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies Required Qualifications: - 0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering required - 4 Year / bachelor's degree in engineering required - 3-5 years of relevant work experience in engineering required - CAD skills required - 2 Year / associate degree in engineering or a related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required Preferred Qualifications: - Basic CAD skills strongly preferred - SAP experience is a plus - Basic understanding of Lean concepts preferred - 4 Year / bachelor's degree in engineering preferred - Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred - General fluency in SAP - Experience with Lean concepts Required Skills: Manufacturing Engineering, CAD, SAP, Lean Manufacturing, Process Improvement, Tooling, Equipment Implementation, Manufacturing Process Troubleshooting, Material Utilization Optimization, Plant Layout Optimization, Quality Management System, Training Benefits: Health & Family Support, Financial Security, Learning & Development, Rewards & Recognition, Wellbeing & Mental Health, Work-Life Balance, Fun Perks
