Job Description
Summary: Greater Winston-Salem Inc. is seeking an Economic Development Intern to contribute to the community's economic prosperity. This role involves hands-on experience in economic research, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project implementation, aimed at supporting underserved communities and fostering relationships within the business community.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the growing economic prosperity of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County
- Support economic research, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project implementation
- Gain exposure to local and regional economic development initiatives, workforce development strategies, and marketing efforts aimed at business attraction and community growth
- Help foster new relationships and strengthen existing ones within the business community, particularly in traditionally underserved areas
- Support efforts to strengthen and expand the co-located workforce training system
Required Qualifications:
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented
- Hands-on experience in economic research

Preferred Qualifications:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement materials
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional setting
- Passion for community growth, business development, and/or policy-driven solutions
