Job Description
Summary: GlobalFoundries is a leading full-service semiconductor foundry providing a unique combination of design, development, and fabrication services. The Government Affairs Policy Analyst will track and analyze global legislative, regulatory, and policy changes impacting the organization and support outreach to policymakers, while coordinating engagement with government officials and industry groups.
Responsibilities:
- Track and analyze global legislative, regulatory, and policy developments impacting the organization
- Prepare summaries, presentations, briefing materials, and reports for internal stakeholders
- Assist in coordinating outreach to government officials, trade associations, and industry groups
- Support the development of advocacy materials and talking points
- Maintain databases of policy issues, government contacts, and engagement activities
- Provide timely updates on emerging issues and trends
- Work closely with internal teams (legal, compliance, business units) to align policy positions with organizational goals
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications:
- Education – Graduating with Bachelor's in Political Science or related field from an accredited degree program
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Travel - Up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc
- Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Internship experience in government affairs, public policy, or related field
- Interest in global policy issues and international regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with advanced technology, semiconductors, and innovation policy
