Job Description
Summary: The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is a nonprofit, applied research division of the Georgia Institute of Technology, dedicated to solving complex problems for the U.S. federal government and industry. They are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to support DoD software research and development, focusing on testing and process for various software engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Designing software methods and classes
- Debugging software
- Documenting code changes, bugs, and user guidance
- Testing software applications against expected behaviors
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Field
- 3.2 or higher GPA
- Full-Time Intern- Must be registered for Full-time Internship Credit
- Commit to 40 hours of work per week in the Orlando Field Office (Orlando, FL)
- Experience in 1 programming language
- Able to work in-office in Orlando, FL beginning in May
- Full-Time Intern- Must be registered for Full-time Internship Credit
- Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in 2 or more programming/scripting languages
- Clear communicator, written and oral
- Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
- Works well individually and in a group setting
