Job Description
Summary: Generac is a leading energy technology company committed to powering a smarter world. The Talent Acquisition Intern will support recruitment teams by assisting with sourcing, screening candidates, and participating in various HR initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support our corporate and/or plant recruitment teams on site at our headquarters in Waukesha, WI
- Shadow recruiters
- Assist with sourcing and screening a variety of candidates
- Assist with interview scheduling
- Assisting with recruitment marketing and operations
- Gain exposure to other facets of HR, including diversity initiatives, new hire onboarding/new hire orientation, learning and development, employment and diversity branding
- Network with other interns
- Participate in fun intern events
- Receive internal training on how to leverage internal recruitment systems and sourcing tools
- Learn about the full recruitment lifecycle including preparing, sourcing, screening, selecting, hiring and onboarding
- Learn about recruitment marketing and utilizing social media to attract viable talent
- Work closely with recruiting team members to innovate on current research strategies for talent pooling, market mapping, and competitor analysis
- Gain exposure to our ongoing diversity initiatives
- Gain an understanding of the employee lifecycle from recruitment through departure
- Develop a working relationship with Generac’s HR, Recruitment and Shared Services Teams
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program with an emphasis in a business related field and/or Human Resources
- Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
- Proficient oral and written communication and able to write clearly and succinctly to get a message across
- Conscientious self-motivated worker with an attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting
- Dependable and organized
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Office experience with strong aptitude in Excel
- Sophomore year status or higher
- Previous systems experience
