Job Description Summary
Preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Guided by commercial practices and policies that may be shaped by the role. Has significant control/influence over commercial priorities. There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgement are required to achieve outcomes required.
Job Description
What will you do:
Establish a deep understanding of our customers’ business and technical needs.
Design, describe, and defend competitive Technical and cost-optimized offers in the APAC region using GE Vernova Solution of the OPERATE GridOS portfolio, and in particular DERMS.
Translate customer detailed or loose requirements, vision or pain points, into existing product building blocks and / or roadmap, and design what it takes to fill the gap in the technical offers. This shall be done while carefully analyzing and tuning the compliance versus cost balance.
Design and produce innovative and competitive offers for DERMS and DERMS-related new systems (e.g. ADMS), or to address new business cases or regulatory changes for existing customers. Offers might or not include hardware, third party software and GE Vernova software but in any case, a sound, secured, and cost optimized architecture shall be designed.
Determine the best approach to deliver projects, leveraging GE Vernova Services and/or trained partners, considering internal and external constraints and timelines, and strategy for the account / the tender.
Use estimating configurators to determine effort that will be required to install, configure, and test the proposed solution but also improve them over time.
Create and maintain global tools and tendering/proposal artifacts to support standardization and growth.
Introduce new products, modules, processes, architecture, and new deployment methods.
Participate in ATQ (Available To Quote) process
Support SEP Engineers in India and Brazil
Be the decision owner on both effort estimates and planning.
Design the implementation method that limits or alleviates risks of future technical or financial deviations during project.
Convince both internally and externally of the design choices he/she made for a wide range of audience (managers, operators, developers, IT, etc.)
Defend in virtual or physical workshop the commercial value of the offers, insofar possible in relation with the initial customer business / use cases.
Demonstrate innovation, curiosity, adaptation to rapidly evolving technology such as IT architecture (Cloud, Hybrid, etc.), delivery methods (CI/CD, DevOps), cyber security threats, and new DERMS applications e.g. pertaining to flexibility market incentivization, battery storage, integration on small PV and wind assets in distribution network, and enhanced collaboration between DSO and TSO.
Create proposals for both GE Vernova and non GE Vernova Distribution utilities.
Contribute to the creation of a new regional customer working group and a dedicated DERMS.
Be a crucial interface between customers, advisory engagements, and product development teams, translating operational and market insights into actionable product requirements and development priorities. The role requires strong collaboration across stakeholders to help guide regional product evolution and ensure solutions remain aligned with customer and market expectations.
Develop evolution path and migration plans for key GE Vernova customers from their current system to the target GE Vernova product strategy (in particular next generation of DERMS)
Accompany and support GEV customers in their own innovation programs.
Drive excellence and suggests improvements and new ideas: listen and suggest.
What will you will bring:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, or equivalent
Minimum 3 years’ experience in tendering
Minimum 5 years’ experience in power systems or DERMS
Be a recognized expert in DERMS and either ADMS or AEMS solutions.
Demonstrated experience in preparation of technical proposal for complex tenders and setup.
Demonstrated experience in designing cost-effective solutions that are innovative, doable on time and on budgets on both functional and nonfunctional aspects.
Deep understanding of our customers’ business and technical needs, particularly in the APAC region.
Be familiar with regulatory constraints in Australia/NZ.
Design, describe, and defense of competitive Technical and cost-optimized offers in the APAC region using GE Vernova Solution of the OPERATE GridOS portfolio, particularly DERMS.

International experience of working with other cultures and understanding the best way to achieve goals in every situation.
Capability to work under strong time pressure.
As GE Vernova is a global organization, working across different time zones, and monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours can be expected.
