Job Description
Summary: FSEN is an early-stage PropTech startup building autonomous emergency dispatch software for the trades industry. They are seeking a motivated intern to conduct market research and assist in understanding the market through direct engagement with small business owners in the trades industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct structured discovery phone interviews with small business owners in the trades industry using a provided script and framework
- Qualify and categorize contacts based on business size, current workflow, and pain points
- Maintain organized research profiles and notes using our internal tracking tool
- Attend weekly check-ins with the founding team to debrief on findings
- Contribute to a market research summary report at the close of the internship
Required Qualifications:
- Comfortable making phone calls and holding natural, unscripted conversations
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to follow a structured process
- Genuinely curious about how small businesses operate
- Able to self-manage in a fully remote and flexible environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
- No prior sales or research experience is required
