Billing Specialist (RIA Operations)

Summary: Foundations Investment Advisors is an SEC-registered RIA headquartered in Phoenix that serves as the operational and investment platform for independent financial advisors nationwide. The role involves managing the full advisory-fee billing cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process. Responsibilities: - Morning: Pull billing data in Orion. Validate fee schedules, account groupings, and start/stop dates against approved records. Flag anything that doesn't reconcile before it moves downstream - Midday: Run fee calculations. Cross-check outputs in Excel — pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation against billable values. Investigate outliers: sudden AUM shifts, terminated accounts still active, missing fee schedules, and incorrect billing groups. Resolve or escalate - Afternoon: Finalize the billing cycle. Update tracking logs and exception documentation. Coordinate with operations and advisor-facing teams on fee changes, account issues, and billing status.
