Associate Attorney – Family Law | Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 + Bonus Opportunities

Summary: Fontenot Law, P.C. is focused on achieving results for clients and attorneys in the field of family law. The Associate Attorney will manage a variety of family law matters, represent clients in mediation and hearings, and develop case strategies while gaining trial experience. Responsibilities: - Manage a variety of family law matters from start to finish, including: -Divorce (including complex and high-asset cases). -Custody and parent-time disputes. -Modifications and enforcement actions - Represent clients in: -Mediation. -Hearings. -Settlement negotiations. -Draft and oversee a wide range of legal filings. -Develop case strategy and drive matters toward resolution - This is a hands-on litigation role where you will take ownership of your cases and see them through from beginning to end - Manage cases start-to-finish with minimal micromanagement - Regular courtroom exposure with the opportunity to grow into trial work - Serve as second chair on family law trials, with the potential to first chair certain cases Required Qualifications: - 1–3 years of family law experience preferred (or strong litigation background) - An attorney who is eager to manage their own cases and operate autonomously, while also contributing effectively in a supporting role on matters led by senior attorneys - A motivated attorney who wants to become an excellent trial family law attorney - Comfortable being second chair, with the ambition to become first chair - Fearless, driven, and willing to push themselves professionally - Strong client-facing skills with a great bedside manner clients respect - Client-centered approach to practicing law.
