As a Training & Assessment Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting virtual or in-person simulator assessments for equipment such as haul trucks, dozers, excavators, and loaders, working closely with the operations team to ensure accurate evaluations. The temporary role follows a 7/7 rotation schedule, requiring flexibility and strong computer skills to manage assessment data and reports effectively. You should have 1-2 years of experience in equipment operation or assessment and experience with simulation-based training and assessment tools is considered an asset
What would you be doing?
Conduct simulator assessments for equipment such as haul trucks, dozers, excavators, and loaders.
Collaborate with operations leads to ensure accurate evaluations.
Schedule and conduct assessments, providing feedback to operators.
Provide hands-on training to Emerald students weekly, enhancing their practical skills.
Complete orientations for new candidates, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience operating heavy equipment.
Experience conducting simulator assessments for haul trucks, dozers, excavators, and loaders.
Ability to collaborate with operations leads to ensure accurate evaluations.
Strong organizational skills to schedule and conduct assessments while providing constructive feedback to operators.
Experience providing hands-on training to Emerald students, enhancing their practical skills.
Skilled in conducting orientations for new candidates to ensure a smooth onboarding process
