The intern will work on real-world projects using machine learning and predictive models to solve business problems while developing valuable data analytics skills. Responsibilities: - Under direction, use appropriate modeling techniques to address business needs - Broaden knowledge and application of modeling techniques and procedures - Support preparation of internal/external, structured/unstructured data sets to build/rebuild/refresh predictive models - Clearly communicates complex technical concepts and data insights to non-technical stakeholders - Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelors (BS/BA) or Masters (MS/MA) degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics or Computer Science - You must be a student enrolled in an accredited college during the duration of the internship - Specifically, a rising Junior or Senior level undergraduate student or graduate student - Ability to manipulate and analyze data to address and solve business problems - Familiarity with Python or similar languages for machine learning - A passion for learning and development - Willingness to independently learn and make an impact within a team environment - Self-motivated, an excellent problem solver and a quick learner - Good verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Required Skills: Machine learning, Predictive modeling, Data manipulation, Python, Microsoft Office Suite Benefits: Paid Time Off, Farmers offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications and location., Hybrid work environment combines the best of both worlds with at least three (3) days in office and up to two (2) days virtual for employees who live within fifty (50) miles of a Farmers corporate office., Applicants beyond fifty (50) miles may still be considered.
