Job Description
Description
About Eye Health America
Eye Health America (EHA) is a high-growth ophthalmology and optometry practice management organization serving patients across the Southeast. We partner with physicians to deliver exceptional eye care while building the operational infrastructure that enables practices to thrive. As we scale toward our next stage of growth, analytics and business intelligence have become central to how we make decisions, track performance, and identify opportunities.
Position Summary
The BI Developer / Data Analyst is a foundational hire for Eye Health America's analytics capability. This role sits within the Strategic Initiatives function and works directly with the VP of Strategic Initiatives to build, maintain, and evolve our DOMO-based business intelligence environment.
This is not a traditional back-office analyst role. You will be the person who brings our data to life — building dashboards that inform executive decisions, documenting the data architecture that underpins everything we measure, and helping EHA become an organization where AI-assisted insight is a daily reality, not a future aspiration.
Why this role matters right now
EHA recently entered the DOMO ACE Accelerate program — a structured knowledge transfer engagement designed to shift us from consultant-dependent to internally capable. Your first priority will be absorbing that institutional knowledge, taking ownership of our DOMO environment, and documenting the data tables and transformation logic that underpin our reporting. This is high-impact, high-visibility work from day one.
Key Responsibilities
DOMO Platform Ownership
• Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in DOMO
• Own and document all data tables, data flows, and transformation logic in the DOMO environment
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting outputs
• Serve as the primary internal DOMO resource — the go-to for questions, builds, and troubleshooting
Data Architecture & Documentation
• Build and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary — every field defined, sourced, and owned
• Design data structures using portable, platform-agnostic logic wherever possible
• Partner with the ACE consultant during transition to capture all existing build knowledge
• Create documentation standards that allow future team members to inherit a system they can understand
Analytics & Insight Delivery
• Translate business questions from the VP of Strategic Initiatives and department leaders into analytical outputs
• Support development of executive KPI dashboards, physician performance metrics, and operational reporting
• Identify patterns and anomalies in data; surface actionable insights proactively
• Partner with finance, operations, and clinical teams to understand their data needs
AI & Innovation
• Actively explore and implement DOMO's AI and agentic features as they mature
• Support the build of the DOMO AI Library (semantic layer) — the foundation for AI-assisted querying
• Stay current on emerging BI and AI tools; bring relevant ideas and experiments to the team
• Approach every build with an eye toward automation: if a report is being produced manually, ask whether it can be generated intelligently
Requirements
Qualifications
Required
• 3–5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a closely related role
• Proficiency with a modern BI platform — DOMO strongly preferred; Tableau or Power BI considered with demonstrated ability to ramp quickly
• Strong SQL skills; ability to write and optimize queries against relational databases
• Experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines and managing data flows
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business questions into clean analytical outputs
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, lean environment where you will own your work end-to-end
Preferred
• Experience in healthcare, health systems, physician practice management, or a regulated clinical environment
• Familiarity with healthcare data types — patient volume, scheduling, revenue cycle, clinical metrics, or similar
• DOMO certification or ACE program experience
• Exposure to AI/ML tools, natural language querying, or agentic AI workflows — even at an experimental level
• Experience building or contributing to a semantic/data model layer
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
