Job Description
Summary: ExpertVoice is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented AP/AR Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly — managing vendor relationships, processing transactions, and supporting accurate, timely reporting. The AP/AR Specialist will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable processes, supporting bank reconciliations, and contributing to the overall accuracy and efficiency of the Finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage vendor bill and employee expense report processing and payment in Airbase
- Own vendor setup and maintenance, including collection and management of W-9 and 1099 forms
- Manage and organize the accounts payable inbox, ensuring timely responses and resolution
- Serve as a resource for employees with questions related to the Travel & Expense policy (supported by our in-house Expense Bot)
- Ensure accurate and timely daily cash application in NetSuite
- Monitor and manage the accounts receivable inbox, handling inquiries and follow-ups as needed
- Participate in AR collections reviews, with a growth path toward direct collections support for a segment of our brands
- Perform daily bank transaction matching and monthly reconciliations in NetSuite
- Assist with journal entries and other ad hoc accounting tasks as the team's needs evolve
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting support in a professional setting
- Solid working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfort working independently while also collaborating cross-functionally with other departments
- High proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets for data management and analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior month-end close and journal entry experience
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Airbase
- Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Background in internet, e-commerce, or technology industries
- Interest in or experience with emerging AI tools, with an eye toward incorporating them into daily work
