jobDescription
Why this role, why now
Endava Australia is strengthening how delivery is led across increasingly complex digital engineering and transformation work. This role is for a delivery leader who wants to shape how work is formed, mobilised and run, with strong partnership across client, commercial, delivery and discipline leadership.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Head of Delivery to lead delivery performance across Endava Australia's live portfolio. This is a senior leadership role focused on delivery health, forecast integrity, delivered margin, governance, client satisfaction and team health across signed engagements delivered by Australia, including APAC work where Australia holds material delivery leadership, staffing accountability or delivery risk.
Working closely with Country leadership, Client Partners and Commercial leadership, you will help ensure that work is executable, appropriately staffed, commercially controlled and governed to a consistent standard. You will create clearer visibility, earlier intervention and stronger alignment around the conditions needed for successful delivery.
What you will shape
You will be the senior delivery voice across the live portfolio, helping teams make good delivery decisions early and keeping engagements set up for success. You will shape the operating rhythm for delivery health, portfolio reviews, escalation and recovery, and bring a practical delivery lens to Opportunity Review and mobilisation.
Where a deal, team model or delivery assumption creates material risk, you will work with Client Partners, Commercial leadership and delivery leaders to adjust the approach before it becomes a delivery problem. When engagements need support, you will lead the delivery response, align the right people around the recovery plan and keep progress visible.
This role works alongside the Head of Project Delivery Management. The Head of Delivery focuses on live delivery outcomes; the Head of PDM focuses on the discipline, capability and standards that support those outcomes. Together, the roles connect portfolio execution with long-term delivery capability.
qualifications
Essential experience and skills
Significant experience leading complex delivery portfolios in a consulting, digital engineering or professional services environment.
Strong track record in delivery governance, commercial delivery control and intervention in complex or at-risk engagements.
Proven ability to manage delivered margin, forecast integrity, staffing decisions and delivery risk across multiple accounts, programmes or engagements.
Experience across multiple delivery and commercial models, including time and materials, fixed price and outcome-based delivery.
Strong commercial and contractual judgement, including experience reviewing delivery assumptions, team structures, statements of work, change control and governance approaches.
Demonstrated leadership of senior delivery professionals, including coaching, performance management, capability uplift and succession planning.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior client and internal leaders.
Strong judgement, pace and pragmatism, with the ability to balance governance discipline with commercial agility.
Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to lead senior conversations when delivery performance, commercial exposure or client confidence is at stake.
Desirable experience
Experience leading delivery across Australia or APAC, including distributed and multi-shore delivery models.
Exposure to enterprise technology, digital transformation, software engineering or data-led delivery environments.
Experience establishing delivery governance, health reporting, delivery dashboards or portfolio operating rhythms.
Experience working alongside discipline, workforce planning, PMO, commercial and client partner functions.
Relevant professional certifications or frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, SAFe or SFIA are helpful, but not a substitute for proven delivery leadership.

How the role fits
The role partners closely with Client Partners and Commercial leadership, with primary focus on execution quality and delivery confidence across signed work. You will influence growth by helping shape executable work, building client confidence and ensuring delivery commitments are realistic and supported.
You will work closely with the Head of Project Delivery Management to ensure that live delivery outcomes and medium-term discipline capability reinforce each other. The role requires close partnership and clear ownership: you focus on the live portfolio and the delivery conditions required for signed work to succeed.
