Job Description
Specific Role:
We’re looking for a strategic and operationally driven Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize the end-to-end flow of materials, inventory, and information across the organization. In this role, you’ll oversee strategic sourcing, procurement, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and customer fulfillment while ensuring supply continuity, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
You’ll work closely with operations, production, finance, sales, engineering, and executive leadership to develop scalable supply chain strategies that support business growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. This leader will play a critical role in aligning procurement and supply chain execution with production planning, inventory strategy, and customer demand to ensure the organization can scale effectively while maintaining service and quality standards.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead End-to-End Supply Chain Operations
- Oversee sourcing, purchasing, receiving, inventory management, shipping, warehousing, and material flow across the organization
- Ensure materials, inventory, and shipments move efficiently to support production schedules and customer commitments
- Align supply chain execution with operational priorities, production planning, and business growth objectives
- Drive accountability through KPIs, reporting, and operational performance reviews
Develop and Execute Procurement & Sourcing Strategies
- Build and manage a formal procurement strategy aligned with company growth, product mix, and operational needs
- Translate demand forecasts, production requirements, and inventory strategies into sourcing and purchasing plans
- Develop category strategies for critical materials, components, and services
- Lead supplier negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance management initiatives
- Optimize total cost of ownership, lead time, quality, and supply continuity
- Implement risk mitigation strategies including alternate sourcing and supply continuity planning
- Partner cross-functionally on cost reduction and supply chain optimization initiatives
Optimize Inventory, Logistics & Material Flow
- Improve warehouse operations, inventory optimization, and material flow processes
- Monitor inventory accuracy, aging inventory, freight spend, and fulfillment performance
- Collaborate with production and planning teams to reduce shortages and eliminate bottlenecks
- Improve shipping, receiving, and internal logistics efficiency across facilities
Drive Systems Accuracy & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure ERP and supply chain systems maintain accurate and reliable data
- Integrate procurement and supplier performance data into supply chain planning and execution processes
- Analyze supply chain KPIs and identify opportunities for operational improvements
- Standardize reporting, procedures, and operational workflows to support scalability and execution discipline
Lead Teams & Build Organizational Capability
- Lead, coach, and develop supply chain managers, supervisors, and team members
- Establish clear performance expectations, accountability, and operational standards
- Support workforce planning, succession development, and recruiting efforts
- Foster collaboration across Supply Chain, Production, Finance, Sales, and Engineering teams
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations, with increasing leadership responsibility
- 3+ years of direct experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, or procurement leadership
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing supply chain or procurement strategies that align with operational and financial objectives
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain execution, including procurement, planning, inventory management, and fulfillment
- Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving performance through KPIs and accountability
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management or related field)
- 5+ years of experience leading procurement activities in complex environments such as new product launches, multi-site operations, or high-mix manufacturing
- 5+ years of experience leading an end-to-end supply chain execution team including planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics
- Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems such as D365, SAP, or Oracle and leveraging data for operational decision-making
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or CPSM
- Experience integrating procurement strategies into SIOP/S&OP processes
- Background in manufacturing, production, or industrial operations environments
- Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives

Pay Range
