Job Description
Summary: Elim Park is a nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to redefining senior living. The Billing/Scheduling Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing billing and clerical support to the Assisted Living department, managing scheduling for CNA staff, and handling various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Preforms Administrative billing and scheduling as needed in a timely manner
- Assumes responsibility for the scheduling of CNAs on all shifts through the development, preparation and maintenance of staffing schedules that meet the needs of the facility and state requirements. Enters schedule changes to master schedule
- Approves time off and extra shift requests with approval of the ALSA Director
- Effectively communicates with ALSA Director to determine staffing needs. Assigns personnel and adjusts staffing patterns to provide safe and equitable coverage
- Ensures all schedules are posted per timeline by holding all staff accountable for the submission of time requests, changes, and draft schedules in a timely manner
- Records all information in a clear and organized method
- Arranges consults appointments in a timely manner, arranges transportation, schedules an aide when needed to accompany resident as indicated by Nurse. Communicates all scheduled appointments to residents/families
- Maintains established departmental policies, procedures and objectives. Demonstrates flexibility in working hours to meet departmental needs
- Participates in the orientation of all nursing personnel to the scheduling practices and guidelines
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature and workshops
- Monitors staff overtime and minimizes usage
- Performs any other job-related duties and responsibilities that may become necessary as directed by the Supervisor
- Participates in on call coverage rotation
Required Qualifications:
- High School graduate, or GED
- Experience in customer service-related field
