Construction Materials Internship (Level 3)

Summary: ECS Group of Companies is a leader in geotechnical, construction materials, environmental and facilities consulting services. They are seeking a Construction Materials Intern to assist with testing and project management in the construction process. Responsibilities: - Testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, and asphalt pavement - Determining and/or performing appropriate laboratory tests - Attending project meetings and assisting in project resolutions - Assisting with preparation of proposals - Assisting with scheduling, training, and oversight of Field Technicians - Assist with managing project budgets and invoicing Required Qualifications: - Actively pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related degree - Interest in how building materials are utilized in the construction process - Previous internship experience required - Position requires lifting/carrying 40 – 100 lbs. multiple times a day - Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed Required Skills: Soil testing, Foundation testing, Reinforced concrete testing, Post-tensioned concrete testing, Masonry testing, Structural steel testing, Asphalt pavement testing, Laboratory testing, Project budgeting, Invoicing
