Job Description
Summary: Docking Robotics is offering an exciting internship opportunity focused on the development of autonomous robotic systems. The role involves building and implementing computer vision algorithms for perception, localization, and navigation, while working closely with a multidisciplinary team on hardware and software integration.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement computer vision algorithms for object detection, tracking, and environmental perception
- Assist in developing perception pipelines that support robot navigation and decision-making
- Integrate computer vision solutions with onboard robotic systems and sensors
- Work with embedded computing platforms such as NVIDIA Jetson and vision sensors such as ZED stereo cameras
- Implement and optimize algorithms using Python and C++, ensuring efficient real-time performance
- Test and evaluate computer vision algorithms in both simulation and real-world robotic platforms
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
- Familiarity with computer vision techniques such as object detection, tracking, image processing, or visual perception
- Experience with Python or C++
- Live in Daytona Beach or surrounding locations, as this is an on-site position
- Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to work on challenging real-world robotics problems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms
- Experience with ZED cameras
- Experience with OpenCV
- Experience with ROS
