The Strategic Pricing Analyst is a senior individual contributor responsible for complex, high‑impact pricing activities across assigned pricing portfolios. Portfolios may include major customer accounts, complex agreements, high‑risk pricing structures, or strategically significant commodity categories.
This role focuses on advanced pricing analysis, non‑standard pricing scenarios, and strategic decision support. The Strategic Pricing Analyst operates with a high degree of independence and partners closely with leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own pricing support for complex, high‑value, or high‑risk pricing portfolios
Perform advanced, non‑standard pricing analysis and modeling
Support escalations, negotiations, and bespoke pricing requests
Assess pricing risk, margin exposure, and optimization opportunities
Provide strategic pricing insights and recommendations to leadership
Partner with Sales leadership, Contracts, Finance, and Operations on complex pricing decisions
Support audits, compliance reviews, and complex agreement interpretation
Mentor and guide Commercial Pricing Analysts
Contribute to pricing governance, best practices, and standardization efforts
Other responsibilities, as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or related field preferred
Advanced experience in pricing, analytics, or commercial strategy
Strong analytical, modeling, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous or non‑standard situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
Deep understanding of pricing structures, agreements, and commercial risk
High level of business judgment and attention to detail
Strong mentoring and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and across functions
Pricing domain knowledge preferred
Natural curiosity and ability to probe into the depths of processes
Excellent communications skills including listening and communicating with clients of all levels (verbally and written).
Timely, prompt and action/deadline oriented
Quality focused with a high degree of accuracy on project
Self-starter and highly motivated team player
Productive, accurate and willing to receive direction
