Job Description
Summary: Digital Federal Credit Union is the largest credit union headquartered in New England, serving over one million members across all 50 states. They are seeking a Teller Branch Intern to contribute to their success by processing transactions, providing excellent service, and helping members achieve their financial goals.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process all teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing, and assist with end-of-day balancing
- Perform Teller duties as needed. Accurately process all transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing. Complete member requests for money orders, treasurer’s checks, stop payments, bonds, gift cards, check orders, and account file maintenance
- Balance coin machine and daily work with minimal errors and in a timely manner while maintaining a cash variance record within guidelines
- Understand and explain all DCU products and services and complete member requests
- Adhere to all DCU policies and procedures, which include security compliance and following guidelines intended to limit risk exposure to fraud and losses
- May be asked to provide coverage in other DCU areas, such as other branches
- Continuously identify and submit efficiency and process improvement ideas
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to commit to one of the full internship program periods: May 18 through August 14 or June 1 through August 21
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, with a demonstrated interest in banking or financial services
- Prior cash handling experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience preferred
