We’re operating across different markets, channels, and areas of expertise. Using your curiosity and passion, you’ll make the most of consumer insight and digital platforms, reaching new customers, markets, and celebrations to help us achieve our growth potential. We’ll support your learning and growth as you develop your career with us and work with people across our business to realise your fullest potential.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Field Sales team, taking ownership of a defined territory across Sydney – Eastern Suburbs.
This role blends account management with new business development. You will manage an existing portfolio of customers while identifying and converting opportunities to drive growth across your territory.
You will work across a mix of on-premise and multi-site groups, building strong partnerships and delivering commercial outcomes through execution, influence and insight.
Operating with a high level of ownership, you will manage your territory as your own business, supported by a portfolio of leading premium brands and a high-performing team.
The Eastern Suburbs territory is strategically critical for Diageo, with a dense concentration of influential on-premise customer groups that bring our brands to life in the trade. These venues are cultural tastemakers — shaping consumer trends that are often adopted nationally — while creating premium experiences that embed Diageo brands into culture, occasions, and everyday social connection. The territory plays a pivotal role in building brand visibility, advocacy, and relevance across some of Australia’s most iconic hospitality precincts.
Role Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of your territory, shaping plans and priorities to deliver sustainable growth.
Create meaningful impact by building long-term partnerships that unlock value for both customers and Diageo.
Own opportunities end-to-end - from identifying potential through to execution and delivery of results.
Use data, insight and judgement to make smart commercial decisions that grow revenue, distribution and share.
Deliver high-quality execution that brings our brands to life and drives performance in market.
Experience / Skills Required:
A track record of taking ownership and delivering outcomes end-to-end
Proven ability to build relationships and influence a range of stakeholders
Experience identifying opportunities and turning them into measurable results
Confidence using data, insights or judgement to inform decisions
Strong prioritisation skills, focusing effort where it drives the greatest impact
Resilience and adaptability in fast-moving or changing environments
Flexible Working:
Flexibility is key to our success. Talk to us about what flexibility means to you, so that you’re supported to manage your wellbeing and balance your priorities from day one.
Rewards & Benefits:
At Diageo, we offer more than just a role— we offer an environment where you can thrive, grow and be recognised for your impact.

We embrace diversity in the broadest possible sense. This means that you’ll be welcomed and celebrated for who you are just by being you. You’ll be part of and help build and champion an inclusive culture that celebrates people of different gender, ethnicity, ability, age, sexual orientation, social class, educational backgrounds, experiences, mindsets, and more.
Our ambition is to create the best performing, most trusted and respected consumer products companies in the world. Join us and help transform our business as we take our brands to new heights and build new ones as part of shaping the next generation of celebrations for consumers around the world.
