Job Description
Summary: Deseret Digital Media is committed to being trusted voices of light and truth reaching hundreds of millions of people worldwide. KSL is hiring for a Fraud Analyst I, where you will be instrumental in protecting our platform and users from fraudulent activity by identifying, investigating, and preventing various types of fraud.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze data to identify suspicious patterns, trends, and anomalies indicative of fraudulent activity
- Investigate potentially fraudulent network traffic, accounts, transactions, and user behavior using a range of tools and techniques
- Collaborate with other teams, including customer support, engineering, and legal, to resolve fraud incidents and implement preventative measures
- Develop and maintain fraud detection rules and strategies to proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Stay up to date on the latest fraud trends, techniques, and industry best practices
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing fraud trends, investigation findings, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Contribute to the development and improvement of fraud prevention policies and procedures
- Assist in the implementation and testing of new fraud detection tools and technologies
- Provide support to other team members on fraud-related matters
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Log analysis
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and anomalies in large datasets
- Excellent research and investigation skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of online marketplace dynamics and fraud trends is a plus
- Experience with fraud detection systems and tools is a plus
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements is a plus
