Route Driver – New York City Area

Summary: Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply is a leading uniform and linen supplier in the Mid-Atlantic. As a Route Driver, you will deliver uniforms, linens, and supplies to various businesses in New York City while providing excellent customer service and managing the physical demands of the job. Responsibilities: - Drive a company box truck from Clifton into New York City for daily route service - Deliver, pick up, and account for uniforms, linens, and facility products - Provide excellent customer service — you’re the face of Dempsey at every stop - Manage the physical demands of the job: lifting, carrying, and loading 50-75 lbs repeatedly throughout your route - Follow DOT and company safety standards while keeping your truck in top shape Required Qualifications: - Must live in New Jersey within commuting distance of Clifton (route starts/ends at our facility) - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL not required) - Strong customer service skills — professional, dependable, and people-focused - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding role - Manage the physical demands of the job: lifting, carrying, and loading 50-75 lbs repeatedly throughout your route - Follow DOT and company safety standards while keeping your truck in top shape Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience driving box trucks in NYC - Experience with New Jersey delivery routes and confidence handling NYC traffic Required Skills: Box Truck Driving, Route Navigation, Physical Stamina for Lifting, NYC Traffic, Customer Service, Dependability Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, Paid time off and holidays
